Dragon hatchling Ember Hill was never prepared to find love at all—dragons do not suffer human emotions—let alone with a human, and a former dragonslayer at that. With ex-soldier of St. George Garret dying at her feet after sacrificing his freedom and his life to expose the deepest of betrayals, Ember knows only that nothing she was taught by dragon organization Talon is true. About humans, about rogue dragons, about herself and what she's capable of doing and feeling. In the face of great loss, Ember vows to stand with rogue dragon Riley against St. George and her own twin brother, Dante—the heir apparent to all of Talon, and the boy who will soon unleash the greatest threat and terror dragonkind has ever known. Talon is poised to conquer the world, and the abominations they have created will soon take to the skies, darkening the world with the promise of blood and death to those who will not yield.
~ ENGLISH REVIEW~ WHAT A BOOK !!! You know I'm one of the biggest fan of Julie Kagawa, she never disappoints me! And this book...so far, the best of TALON's series. It will be difficult to write about the story, things accelerate and it is a fourth book in a series so you must imagine a lot happened. I'm so happy with the characters finally growing up and making decisions. Especially Ember who makes important choices. She surprised me, really. And then her destiny was not what I imagined, it give me chills. Dear God, TALON is so insane! But the trio is brave and fights. I was afraid for Garret, the soldier is my favorite character of all. I think there is something with him and I can't wait to read the final book to verify my theory. Riley is still Riley, this guy who is doing anything for his friends and underground. The plot is going and is full of action and revelations. I wasn't prepared for this crazyness. But the book is a true page-turner and stressfull as it is, I couldn't stop to read until the end! Things are messed now and war is definitely here. I'm curious how all of this will end, what will happen to our trio and Dante too, who is evil, certainly, but very interesting. Julie did it again! Her writing style, the world she created, eerything is perfect. |
